Hanover's Community Service Leader

A staple of the Hanover, Pa. community for more than 60 years, WHVR 1280 plays a unique blend of music that combines today's top country music hits with timeless classics from the past. WHVR also highlights traditional and contemporary bluegrass, Americana and Southern gospel music. These elements combine to give WHVR a distinctive sound and personality that is unique to South Central Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland.

Real Country WHVR 1280 AM was founded on the principles of good will and community service and continues to uphold the same standards today. WHVR, a leader in community service for more than 60 years, provides coverage for community events including live broadcasts of high school sports, the annual Hanover Halloween Parade, and many additional events and activities throughout the area.

Feed-A-Friend Marathon Surpasses Goal

The 29th annual Hanover Foods Feed-A-Friend Marathon was a major success! With the support of several local businesses, organizations and schools, as well as hundreds of callers with one-time donations, the 2014 goal was surpassed.
